THE PREFERENTIAL ANALYSIS OF THE DISSENTIONS IN TRADITIONS OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD’S SAW LIFE IN PERSPECTIVE OF "AL RAHEEQ AL MAKHTOOM

Abstract

The life of Prophet Muhammad (saw) is profound and vast subject. It has always been the center of attention for scholars whether Muslim researchers or even for the orientalists. It is nearly impossible to chart the work done on the life of Prophet Muhammad (saw). Every biographer has studied and presented different aspects of the life of Muhammad (saw) in a new perspective. This subject has been penned down in almost every language on the planet. Since the biography of the prophet is dependent on traditions and imitation, dissension is natural to occur in this regard. On this dissent in traditions regarding the aforementioned subject, a lot of scholars have worked for conformity and preference in the traditions. Every author has tried to avoid this dissent. In urdu biographical literature Maulana Safi ur Rahman's book "Al Raheeq al Makhtoom" is a fundamental book in which he has analyzed these dissents and has established conformity and preference in it. In this Research article, these dissents in the traditions regarding Muhammad's life will be analyzed in "Al Raheeq ul malhtoom" perspective.
